Classic Kids Portrait sessions are solely focused on the individuality of your child. I never force a smile, and instead, focus on capturing the expressions that make your child uniquely them.
It’s my ultimate goal to capture your child’s personality with my lens — their natural, or even serious expressions, their giggles, too.
These sessions are all about capturing your authentic child, at this moment in time.

Here’s How It works
1: Book
Schedule Your Session
Use my online system to pick a time, backdrop colour (white or black) and make payment. You’ll receive an email confirmation with getting ready tips and details about your session. If you are scheduling more than one child, please book each child individually.
2: Photo Session
Get Camera Ready
Your child’s portrait session will be captured through a conversational session where I strive to capture their true essence! We’ll create fun, authentic portraits of your child.
3: Order
Select Your Images
You’ll get access to your online proofing gallery: a collection of the best images captured during your child’s session. You select the images included in your package that you’d like to receive via instant download, and if you love all of the images you have the option to upgrade, too.
Print orders take approx. 6-8 weeks to arrive.

+ How is this photography different?
It’s my goal during my time with your child to capture a variety of expressions and conjure authenticity from your son or daughter during their session. I aim to artistically capture your child’s "real" — who they are in that very moment. I use a neutral backdrop to keep the focus solely about your child.
+ What colour are the backdrop options?
You can choose a black or white backdrop for your child's portrait.
+ What should my child wear?
These images are framed shoulder up against a neutral backdrop. Tops that are light-coloured or bright-coloured work beautifully. Details at the sleeves, neck, and collar photograph well for these sessions. Colours that match eyes also work really well. Letting your child select their favourite outfit that falls within these guidelines will capture even more of their personality! Please avoid: large logos, hoodies, sweatshirts, shirts with characters or writing, solid black tops, and neon colours.
+ Where does this session take place?
Your session will take place at Erin Clayton Photography’s home studio, located in Langford BC, within the Bear Mountain community. Full address and parking details will be sent with your registration confirmation email.
+ When will I see our photos and how do I order?
Login details for your child's proofing and ordering gallery will arrive within two weeks after their session.
You'll receive a private online gallery, where you will have the option to select your included digital images or upgrade your order. Product options include studio lustre prints (starting at $15), mounted studio lustre prints (starting at $55), fine art prints (starting at $45), and finished wall art (starting at $200 + tax) and additional digital images can be ordered for $50 each.
+ What quality are the prints and products?
I use the best professional print labs in the industry for all print, wall art, and keepsake orders.
+ When will I receive my order?
Digital orders will be sent to you at time of order. Print and product orders can be shipped to your home address or can be sent to Erin Clayton Photography’s home office for pickup. Products take up to 4-6 weeks to arrive.
+ My child has a scrape, bruise, or blemish on their face for their session that isn’t normally there. Will you retouch it?
Minor retouching is provided upon request. Please let me know on the day of your child’s session so I can make a note. Please note that braces cannot be removed from your child's image(s).
+ Can I also book a portrait sitting of my children together?
Sessions are for individual portraits only at this time, sibling appointments are not available.
+ Do you still offer the Fine Art Portraits for Kids Event days and School/Pre-School Photos?
I am not currently offering the Fine Art Portrait for Kids Event or on site school portraits at this time.
