Meeting new people and catching up with long time clients is hands down, my favourite part about being a photographer. Leading up to a session, I get very excited, but even after 8 years as a photographer, I’m still a bit nervous because I want to do the best possible job for my clients and hope that everything will be great — especially the weather!
When we pulled into the parking lot at Elk Lake, we noticed some heavy clouds in the area, but instead of rain, we ended up with some beautiful skies - yes!
Vivian and Lily’s mom contacted me to schedule their family session when she saw that I was offering grad portraits because this is a very special year for her family: her eldest daughter was graduating high school and her youngest daughter was graduating from middle school.
Vivian wore the gorgeous dress she had chosen for her prom to her session and Lily had a beautiful summer dress perfect for a session in a field FILLED with daisies and we spent the afternoon celebrating this special time for this sweet family!
I loved learning more about these wonderful young women during their session, especially how talented Vivian and Lily are. Vivian has been a ballet dancer for 12 years and Lily is an incredible gymnast. They showed me some of their amazing moves during their session and I was beyond impressed!
To say that I was excited to capture Vivian and Lily’s grad portraits would be an understatement. It was an absolute pleasure to document this family’s amazing milestones and I’m so happy that they choose me to be their photographer.
