There’s something truly special about photographing families who love to explore—it feels like capturing a piece of their heart with every shot! Recently, I had the pleasure of working with this beautiful family of five at Mount Doug.
It was golden hour on a late fall day, with a bit of cloud coverage over the crisp, brisk air. I love that here in Victoria, even in late fall, the weather isn’t so freezing that heavy coats are necessary, allowing the natural beauty of the season to shine through. The combination of that golden light and the refreshing chill added a uniquely impressive touch to our session.
Mount Doug’s scenic trails, expansive views, and rugged terrain provided the perfect backdrop as the family wandered, explored, and connected with one another. Every step along the trail offered new opportunities for candid moments that truly captured the essence of their dynamic. The three siblings filled the afternoon with laughter, playful glances, and secret moments that celebrated their special bond.
