I’m so excited to share images from Maggie and her family’s recent session at Ross Bay Beach!
Maggie is a fellow family photographer who moved to Vancouver Island with her family from San Francisco last year. If I’m being completely honest, even after nine years as a family photographer, I still get nervous-excited before every session. I want everything to go wonderfully for my clients and for them to have the best experience and images imaginable. So I always feel a tad more nervous when capturing another photographer because I know they see the experience from both sides.
Maggie and I chatted leading up to their session because we wanted to choose the best location for her family — a location that would be meaningful for her family and offer a beautiful backdrop for their family’s memories. We decided to go with a sunset session for Maggie’s portraits because the morning was supposed to be extra chilly and the light is beautiful late afternoon at Ross Bay Beach — I’m so glad we picked the day and time that we did! It was such a pleasure capturing Maggie and her beautiful family — and I’m so glad they chose me to document this time in their lives!
