At the beginning of each year, I always make grand plans to set new goals for the year and make time for creative sessions. I spend countless days in the winter months dreaming up creative shoots, but then in a blink it’s spring again and suddenly I find myself all booked up and end up putting my creative plans off until things slow down again.
For years now, I’ve been in awe of portraits using gelled lights and this past fall I realized I finally had all of the lighting equipment needed to book a shoot with gels, so I made it happen instead of putting it off!
The resulting shoot would not have been possible without my photographer friend Doug and Victoria model Melina who both made this successful shoot an absolute blast. And the resulting images have me obsessed with using coloured gels now!
